# Present and Export

> Present your slide deck fullscreen in the browser, or download it as a PDF or PowerPoint file.

## Presenting fullscreen

Click **Present** in the preview toolbar at the bottom of the editor. The deck opens fullscreen. Use the arrow keys to change slides and press `Esc` when you are done.

## Downloading as PDF

**1. Open the Export menu**

Click **Export** in the editor navbar.

**2. Click Download as PDF**

Select **Download as PDF** to open the export settings.

**3. Choose watermark settings**

On a paid plan, turn on **Hide Built-With Badge** if you do not want the Magic Patterns watermark in the PDF.

**4. Download**

Click **Export**. The download starts after Magic Patterns finishes rendering the slides, which usually takes a few seconds per slide.

Each PDF page is rendered at 1280 × 720 pixels on the server.

## Downloading as PowerPoint

**1. Open the Export menu**

Click **Export** in the editor navbar.

**2. Click Download as PowerPoint**

Select **Download as PowerPoint** to open the export settings.

**3. Choose watermark settings**

On a paid plan, turn on **Hide Built-With Badge** if you do not want the Magic Patterns watermark on the slides.

**4. Download**

Click **Download PowerPoint**. The `.pptx` file downloads once Magic Patterns finishes rendering the slides.

Every slide becomes real PowerPoint objects — text boxes you can retype, shapes you can recolour, and pictures for the parts PowerPoint has no equivalent for (icons, gradients, photos, charts). Speaker notes come across into the notes pane.

### About fonts

A `.pptx` file references fonts by name but does not carry them, so a deck set in Inter or Playfair would fall back to whatever the machine opening it happens to have. The export uses **basic fonts** instead: every font is mapped to its closest match among the faces that ship with both Windows and macOS (Arial for sans-serif, Georgia for serif, Courier New for monospace). Text stays fully editable, and line breaks can shift slightly because the substituted font is not exactly the same width.

Export as PDF when you need the deck to look exactly as designed.

## Other export options

The Export menu also includes the code options available on regular Magic Patterns designs:

| Option | Where to find it |
| - | - |
| Download Code Zip | Export menu → Download Code Zip |
| Sync with GitHub | Export menu → Sync with GitHub |
| Copy Code as Prompt | Export menu → Copy Code as Prompt |
| Handoff to Engineering (MCP) | Export menu → Handoff to Eng |
| Fork | Export menu → Fork |

See [Exporting overview](https://www.magicpatterns.com/docs/documentation/exporting/overview.md) for details on each option.

## Sharing your deck

Use **Share** in the navbar to copy an editor link or invite someone with read or write access.

A preview link opens a read-only deck without the toolbar. Anyone with the link can move through the slides or present fullscreen without a Magic Patterns account. For a public URL, use **Publish**. You can add password protection or connect a custom domain.
